Parimal Desai MD
Dr. Parimal Desai is a Board Eligible Family Physician, practicing in Northern Virginia for more than 20 years. He is a compassionate physician who provides care for the entire family including children of all ages. He completed internship and residency at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA and served as Chief Resident. He lives with his wife and two sons and enjoys wildlife photography.
Princy Malhi, MD
Dr. Malhi is a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Board Certified Physician who completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine at Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken, New Jersey. With a commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care, Dr. Malhi chose to specialize in Family Medicine due to her passion for preventative care and a holistic approach to healthcare. She believes in treating the whole person—physically, emotionally, and socially—rather than just addressing symptoms. Her interest in preventative medicine allows her to partner with patients to maintain their health, prevent disease, and improve quality of life. Julie Kulp, CFNP
Julie Kulp, CFNP, is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and went on to work at Allegheny General Hospital in the Coronary Care Unit, an intensive care unit for cardiac patients. While working as an RN, she started her Master's of Science in Nursing at Carlow University and obtained her Nurse Practitioner certification in 2011. Later that year, she and her husband moved to Northern Virginia where she began her career in Family Practice. She joined Northern Virginia Family Medicine in 2019. Julie has a passion for wellness and preventative health. She lives in Oakton with her husband and 2 cats. During her free time, she enjoys reading, riding her bike, and hiking.
Andrea Carter, PA-C
Andrea Carter, MPAS is a board certified Physician Assistant born in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. She attended undergrad at New Mexico State University studying Biology, with a minor in Forensic Science. She received her Masters degree from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA. Shortly after graduating she worked in the Operating Room, First Assisting in orthopedic, vascular, neurosurgical and general surgery cases. She joined Northern Virginia Family Medicine in 2013 and genuinely enjoys treating all ailments and ages. She lives in Manassas with her husband and 3 kids. She enjoys reading, Yoga, horse-back riding with her daughter and coaching her son's soccer team.
Miriam Robertson, PA-C
Miriam Robertson is a board certified Physician Assistant born in Germany and raised in Stafford, Virginia. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology, then continued her education at Shenandoah University with a second degree in Respiratory Therapy. As an RT, she worked in emergency, trauma, and adult inpatient medicine. She then pursued her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Miriam gained experience working with patients of all ages in the urgent care setting and transitioned to family medicine to focus more on preventative health and form long-standing relationships with patients. She is bilingual in English and German. In her free time, Miriam enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Ria Shah PA-C
Ria Shah, PA-C, is a board certified Physician Assistant born in Chantilly, VA. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where she obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Bioinformatics. Shortly after graduating she worked as an MA at Anne Arundel Dermatology in Fairfax. Then pursued her Master’s at the University of Lynchburg PA School of Medicine. She is bilingual in English and Gujarati. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, and choreographing dances.
Manisha Yadav, CFNP
Manisha Yadav is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner born in Nepal. She attended Louisiana Tech University, where she obtained her Associate degree in Nursing and went to work at Carilion hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. While working as an RN she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and started her Master’s degree. As a Nurse she has worked in cardiac, geriatric, trauma, and adult medicine. She received her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification from Radford University. She is multilingual and speaks English, Nepali & Hindi. Manisha is a very compassionate, caring individual who always seeks to help others. She loves to travel, during her free time she likes to cook Nepali food.
Jenn Moses, Office Manager
Jenn Moses has been working with Dr. Desai for more than 15 yrs and knows almost all the patients and most patients also get to know her very well. Very often, patients will directly get in touch with her when they need help to get their medication or service approved that insurance is denying to patients. She fights so hard for patients and so many have come to know her so very well. She really is a cohesive factor that keeps all our employees bound together. Whenever any of them have any problem, they run to Jenn. She splits her time between both offices, Manassas and South Riding.
